8 'must have' features to include in a Gym App

Health Clubs and Gyms are constantly looking for ways to reach out to and keep in touch with their customers. But understanding exactly what features to include in an app can be a real challenge.  So here's 8 'must-have' features we believe a great Gym or Health Club App must include to ensure they are fighting fit... 

1. Bookings – Let your customers come back for more by allowing them to make bookings and pay for services through their mobile phone.

2. Mobile Shop – Our apps have full integrated and functional mobile shopping carts, allowing you to display your products for your customer’s viewing pleasure. Your customers can then purchase your products and services through your app, enhancing your bottom line with an integrated mobile shop.

3. Loyalty – All of your customers love a bargain! An effective and easy way to encourage repeat custom is to incentivise your loyalty scheme. This can be done by offering QR coupons and loyalty tabs, your customers can redeem these vouchers easily and quickly after each order.

4. Gallery – Add pictures or integrate your Flickr or Picassa gallery letting your customers view your services and premises. You can also let your customers upload their photos, sharing their experiences with other customers.

5. Social Network – Enhancing your social media presence can help to increase your Facebook likes and Twitter followers by integrating your social media pages and let your customers help make your business viral.

6. Push Notifications – Sending out free push notifications to all your customers that have downloaded the app is quick and easy, not to mention cheaper than text message marketing. Send out updates, promotions and offers via push notifications and keep your business top of mind with your customers. You will be able to publicise your message to your clients and unlike an email, push notifications automatically appear on your client’s phone.

7. Fans – Let your customers become your fans by integrating a Fan Wall with social sharing features and build your testimonials. This can help your customers to share their experience with other customers and help to build your referral base.

8. Location – Allow your customers to locate your business via GPS and give them turn by turn directions to your Health Spa or Gym.

Apps for health clubs or gyms can be a seriously powerful tool to keep customers engaged and ensure that your businesses stays fit too!
